Strathclyde is involved in new research to develop technologies to improve nuclear waste detection and disposal. Funded by the UK and in partnership with the Japanese government, the innovative research will support work to decommission Sellafield Nuclear Plant in the UK and remove radioactive debris from the Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan.
