Even before or if ever they have funding in place (£30 billion and rising?), the Sizewell C Project is causing landscape devastation.
There is a tipping point with flawed projects when the majority of people – the public, investors and the government itself – come to suddenly realise that the project is a bad idea. Usually:
- Because it will come in at a far higher cost than optimistically predicted
- Turn out to be a much longer timescale
- Cause unacceptable damage and risk,
- and will not even do what was wanted in the first place.
Sizewell C has the potential to have all of the above major problems.
This Government has a record of going ahead with projects without or despite proper assessment of the above. Boris Johnson and Kwasi Kwarteng gave the go ahead for Sizewell C against the advice of the Planning Inspectorate!
These four 90 second videos I have just filmed are aimed to get us to that tipping point as soon as possible to avoid another – this time more dangerous situation – potentially like HS2 and a catastrophe for the taxpayer, investors and the Government. Please watch the ‘Sizewell C Fiasco’ films and make up your own mind.
This is the link to the four videos – they automatically play one after the other in a playlist. You can of course click on the window to pause them and they have subtitles available if required and there are links on YouTube to them individually if preferred
Sizewell C is a flawed project and should not go ahead.
