
Minor radioactive waste from a decommissioned Essex nuclear power station could be transported to Suffolk for disposal under plans from a nuclear site clean-up firm. Magnox Ltd is seeking permission from Suffolk County Council to transport up to 10m3 of solid radioactive waste from the Bradwell power station to Sizewell A to be “monitored, sorted and packaged” for disposal off-site.
