Centrica, the parent company of British Gas, has formally entered the race for a potential stake in the ambitious £30 billion Sizewell C nuclear plant in Suffolk. Recent reports from energy industry publication PeakLoad indicate that Centrica is among at least four bidders that participated in the government’s initial pre-qualification process last month. Chris O’Shea, the Chief Executive Officer of Centrica, has previously stated the company’s interest in Sizewell C, conditional on favourable terms.
