A Cumbrian engineering firm has secured an £8.4m contract working on a major nuclear infrastructure project. Carr’s Engineering, based in Carlisle, will supply 18 instrument cabinets and seven shielding blocks for the SIXEP Continuity Plant (SCP) project at Sellafield, before they are then installed by supply chain partners Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick and Altrad Babcock.
