Nuclear Waste Services, in an alliance with collaborative Councillors at parish, town and district level, has been pursuing the possibility of locating a so-called Geological Disposal Facility to house the UK’s high-level legacy and future nuclear waste beneath the former Conoco gas terminal at Theddlethorpe, with tunnels taking the waste out beneath the North Sea.
