An EDF-led consortium has been awarded UK government funding to investigate the feasibility of using nuclear-generated heat and electricity to create hydrogen for use in the production of asphalt and cement. The Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) recently awarded the Bay Hydrogen Hub – Hydrogen4Hanson project almost GBP400,000 (USD475,800) in funding for the feasibility study.
