The UK/Ireland Nuclear Free Local Authorities has affiliated local authorities and individual elected members from Councils across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, yet we have none in the Isle of Man; this despite the island being situated off the Cumbrian and North Wales coast with existing nuclear facilities on the UK mainland at Sellafield, Drigg, and Heysham, and a prospective undersea Geological Disposal Facility in Copeland and new nuclear plants at Moorside and Wylfa.
