On the 40th anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis, President Jo Biden has recently warned that the situation today is grave as the world faced in October 1962. In response, the Nuclear Free Local Authorities have written to the Energy and Health Secretaries urging them to follow the example of the Polish and United States Government by acquiring and distributing iodine tablets to the public as a precautionary protective message should the war in Ukraine become nuclear.
