
PLANS by EDF to create 340 hectares of new saltmarsh habitats along the River Severn could assist with tackling climate change, a lecturer has claimed. The saltmarshes, which have been delayed by the energy company, would compensate for the 44 tonnes of fish expected to be sucked into the cooling system of the Hinkley Point C power plant, which is currently under construction.
