Changes to Hinkley Point C’s water discharge activity have been approved by the Environment Agency but campaigners argue that these will impact the fish population. Permissions for the construction and operation of EDF Energy’s 3.26GW Hinkley Point C nuclear power station near Bridgwater in Somerset were granted in 2013 and included a water discharge activity (WDA) permit.
