
Balfour Beatty has completed the installation of all 116 T-pylons for the Hinkley Connection Project to power homes in the south west of England with nuclear energy. Considered a “world first”, the T-structures were first designed by Danish firm Bystrup, which won an international competition organised by the Royal Institute of British Architects, the former Department of Energy & Climate Change and National Grid in 2011.
