There were some barbed exchanges on Wednesday about the fate of Scotland’s only major oil refinery at Grangemouth when executives from its current owner Petroineos — a joint venture between Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos and state-owned PetroChina — came face-to-face with MSPs of every hue at Holyrood on its economy and fair work committee.
