
EDF is to extend the operational life of four of its five NPPs in the UK. EDF operates Heysham 1 and Heysham 2 in Lancashire, Hartlepool in Teesside, Torness in East Lothian, and Sizewell B in Suffolk. The extension decision will help bridge the gap before EDF’s Hinkley Point C nuclear power station in Somerset begins generating around 2030.
