Petition: Revoke Government support for large-scale new nuclear projects

We petition the Government to revoke its support for large-scale nuclear power projects. They would be counter-productive to the UK’s economic recovery, its climate targets and future national security.

Please sign and share, and help us get to 10,000 signatures and beyond!

  1. Haven’t we learnt from Windscale, Chernobyl and Fuchishima? How much more destruction and contamination are we supposed to endure before nuclear power is deemed unsafe? They still tell us it’s the cleanest form of energy but not that it’s the most dangerous form of energy.

  2. How can the government give permission for this monstrous construction site to go ahead? 10 to 12 years of absolute misery for the people of Suffolk. Not only devastation to the wild life at minsmere but to the tourist industry as well. With the threat to security and long term danger of nuclear waste surely the way forward is with renewables.
